Appia Communications chooses the Vapps CB1000 VoIP Audio Conferencing Platform
Traverse City, MI (January 12, 2005) Vapps (www.vappsinc.com) announced that Appia Communications (www.appiaservices.com), a provider of IP communications services, has deployed the Vapps CB1000 to provide conference calling services to its growing base of enterprise customers. "The Vapps product was a natural fit for us," said Victor von Schlegell, CEO of Appia. "We look for products that round out our offerings to small- to medium-sized businesses. Conferencing is an important service and we are pleased to have a reliable platform like Vapps to offer it."
"Appia is a proven innovator in the field of IP telephony," remarked Ben Lilienthal, CEO of Vapps. "They recognized that they are able to generate more revenue from their existing customers using the CB1000 to provide conference calling services." Within one week of taking delivery of the equipment, continued Lilienthal, Appia was able to go live with the conference calling service. Because the CB1000 uses industry standard interfaces like SIP to interoperate with other equipment like Cisco gateways, it is easy to deploy and use.
"For service providers looking to add new capacity," David Alexander of Frost and Sullivan comments, "the Vapps CB 1000 leverages the best of IP and TDM technologies to provide a feature rich and attractively priced bridge for service providers to provision business class conferencing."
